Quality & Testing

Every product IronRack Labs supplies is reference material for laboratory research use only. Reproducible work depends on material you can characterize, so every tested lot is analyzed for identity and purity by an independent third party laboratory, and the results are published against the lot number so you can verify exactly what you are working with.

The short version: RP-HPLC purity analysis with LC-MS identity confirmation against a 98% or higher purity specification, results recorded on a lot specific Certificate of Analysis, and that certificate open to review by lot number before or after purchase. Not for human or veterinary use.

Analysis

Two complementary methods on every tested lot

Purity and identity are different questions and they need different instruments. Every tested lot is analyzed by both, and the results are recorded against the lot number.

Method 01

Reversed-Phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

RP-HPLC · Purity quantification

RP-HPLC separates a sample into its individual components so the proportion of the target peptide can be measured against any impurities. The resulting figure is the purity percentage recorded on that lot’s Certificate of Analysis.

Method 02

Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry

LC-MS · Identity confirmation

Mass spectrometry confirms that the compound in the vial is the peptide named on the label by matching its measured mass to the expected molecular weight for that sequence.

Rigor

Reference standards and analytical rigor

Test results only mean something if the method behind them is consistent and the sample can be traced. Our analytical workflow is built around documented methods and lot level record keeping.

Reference comparison

Identity confirmation is assessed against the expected molecular weight for the published sequence, so the result is checked against a known value rather than an internal assumption.

Known value comparison

Documented methods

The same analytical methods are applied to every tested lot and recorded on the certificate, so results stay comparable from one lot to the next.

Consistent and repeatable

Lot to lot traceability

Every vial carries a lot number that maps to a single analytical record, so material on your bench can always be traced back to the analysis behind it.

Documented & auditable

Handling

Presentation, lyophilization and handling

Peptides are supplied as a lyophilized (freeze dried) white powder. Lyophilization removes water under vacuum, which keeps the material stable through storage and transport far better than a solution would.

Storage on arrival

  • Store lyophilized material under the conditions specified for that material, as printed on the vial label and stated in its documentation, protected from light.
  • Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation on the contents.
  • Keep the original label intact so the lot number stays traceable to its Certificate of Analysis.

Storage conditions and handling notes are stated on the label and on individual product pages. Responsibility for storage, handling and disposal passes to you on delivery.
